After founding Soul Series Productions in 2018, I produced Cheer Up, Charlie and Nun Habits - two original web series that have been recognized internationally by over 20 film festivals.

 

I'm currently in Pre-Production & Development for four new projects through Soul Series. I'm always looking for new collaborators, so feel free to get in touch!

Weekend

WEEKEND

Weekend is an original music video concept devised by Monica Arsenault and Lydia Granered for Lydia Granered's original song, Weekend.

 

Weekend is a song on Lydia's Harlequin Album, released in 2019. Lydia can be seen playing ongoing shows at Pete's Candy Store.

Cheer Up, Charlie

Cheer Up, Charlie

Cheer Up, Charlie is the story of a bright, young ambitious 20-something who puts her dreams on hold to help her family pay their medical bills, the fastest way she knows how - dealing drugs.

 

This new dark comedy series by Kara Grace Miller and Anthony Holiday was produced in collaboration with Soul Series Productions and L2G Productions. Directed by Carmen LoBue, the six-part series was filmed in August and September 2018 in NYC.

After making its NYC Premiere at New York Shorts International Film Festival in June 2019, Cheer Up, Charlie has gone on to screen at over 10 film festivals internationally.

It has won Best Short at the London Cannabis Film Festival and the Audience Choice Award at The November Screening of Season 7 of IndieWorks. 

 

Cheer Up, Charlie was also a Finalist for Best Webisode at LA Femme International Film Festival and was nominated for Best Directing at T.O. Webfest.

Nun Habits

Nun Habits is the story of Sister Cecilia, a bisexual nun, who befriends April, a high school senior coming to terms with her sexuality. Together, they navigate Catholic teaching to determine whether they have a place in the Catholic Church and what that place might be. 

 

Created by Monica Arsenault and directed with Sonja Cirilo, this six-part web series will be released in 2020.

Nun Habits will be screening next at El Paso Media Festival on January 19th at 9AM. Purchase a $15 block pass to see it along with six other incredible films.

Nun Habits will have two more screenings in March before going on to screen at Santa Monica Webfest in June 2020. Check back for more info!

After making its world Premiere at Pilot Light TV Festival in May 2019, Nun Habits has gone on to screen at over a dozen film festivals.

 

It has won Best Web Series at Ocktober Film Festival, Best Web Series/Audience Choice Award at qFLIX Worcester, and the Audience Choice Award at World Webfest Mania.

 

Nun Habits has also been nominated for Best Dramedy, Best Actress, & Outstanding Achievement in Music at NYC Web Fest. At Pilot Light Nun Habits was nominated alongside eight incredible projects for Best International TV Pilot.
